A massive thanks to KJR Contracting for helping out with our Waikato Demo Day. Mowing conditions weren't ideal with a mix of rain, wind, and sun throughout the day, but the mowers did their thing, and it was great seeing how well they operated in wet conditions... The mowers in action were the KDD941STH Grouper conditioner mowers with a 9.4m cut, paired up with the KDF301s Front mower conditioner for the ultimate triple setup! Groupers are fantastic in the fact you don't require a rake for certain types of harvests, but they're also very useful for pulling the grass in from fence lines or from obstacles that a rake could potentially hit if a rake is required. We also had the SaMASZ XT390 rear bar mower there with an impressive cut of 3.9m - this is the largest bar mower SaMASZ do and it's a beauty! It folds up for transport (whereas some other brands of mowers around this size fold around behind the tractor) and you can also store it in this folded-up position. For the size and weight of the mower, its floatation is outstanding and this can easily be adjusted if need be with its in-cab controller, brilliant!
